There are 3 mandatory meetings which we have to attend: monday worship 8-9- (this is for all the students, staff, and volunteers ) tuesday night mission builder meeting, and thursday night service(also for all) at 7 p.m (it's the closest thing to a church service on campus).
On monday morning I went to my first monday morning worship service, and God's presence was so evident in that place. They had a GIANT map of the whole world on the floor, and as the band played worship the pastor had us walk over the "land" on the map as we prayed prophetically over it. Then, later he asked us to think of a place that has been on our heart, that maybe we've been praying for a while, and to write something on sticky paper and place it on the map and pray over it. Needless to say, I knew exactly where to go, and what to write :) (if you can find it on the picture you'll know) but yes, it was an amazing time I felt the presence of God so strongly there, if you can picture about 600 young people kneeling down and passionately praying for nations, cities, towns all over the world. It was a reminder that God has a heart for the nations because they represent people.... not geographical locations... and He loves people.
I feel very blessed to be here, and I know this experience is a lot more meaningful than just 4 months of volunteer work in an exotic location :) It is about allowing God to change who I am, so that I can love people, and God, the way I was intended to.
